Fukushima meltdown? Mystery steam rising over Reactor 3
The Ecologist -- 31st December 2013
Unexplained plumes of radioactive steam have been rising from Fukushima's Reactor Building 3, Could a major meltdown be on the way?Fukushima's Reactor Building 3 exploded on 13th March 2011 as a result of a hydrogen buildup, breaching the building's containment and emitting a huge plume of radiation. The reactor itself is in meltdown...

The winds around Fukushima are blowing [toward] north-east [aka south-west winds] so atmospherical release would not register that much in Tokyo, even less in the Big T. (My readings are totally normal).
But no matter what, when the winds are [blowing toward] south-west [aka north-east winds] I got spikes at home and a concerto of beeps from the whip counter... Shit's far from over...

Edit: picture is a bit weird, crashed car on the top left, lots of debris. Maybe an older one ?
Edit 2: disambiguation for the wind direction naming.

Mystery Steam Over Fukushima Could Be Sign of Another Meltdown
gizmodo.com 2014jan01
The newest update in the highly disconcerting series of devastating failures that is the Fukushima cleanup effort is troubling to say the least. Tepco has confirmed that (unexplained) plumes of steam have been rising from the mangled remains of Reactor Building 3. In other words, there's a chance Fukushima could be in the middle of another meltdown.

Its actually amazing how many tokyo natives have moved in over the last couple years. Two of my daughter's good friends come from tokyo. I guess it never occurred to them that okinawa is a primary nuclear target for the russians and chinese. SHTF okinawa is going to be a glowing glass rock.

Fukushima meltdown? Mystery steam rising over Reactor 3

Saaaa.
snopes.com/politics/conspiracy/fukushima...
:?: Claim: A series of underground atomic explosions have taken place at the crippled nuclear plant in Fukushima, Japan.
 FALSE
Origins: This January 2014 article about the President of Russia supposedly issuing an order after the detection of underground atomic explosions at the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant...
<big snip>
...
As noted at the Fukushima Diary blog:
Since the end of 2013, a hoax has been going around on the Internet saying that Reactor #3 is experiencing a meltdown. (In fact, it had already melted down some time earlier.)
From my observation, this mess started with an article on Enenews saying that Reactor #3 had been observed still steaming multiple times in December, which is correct.
However, "steam" has been observed issuing from that reactor beginning in July 2013, and since then it has been observed almost every day. From the frequency of the "steam," I assume it is evaporated coolant water leaking out of primary containment vessel, and we're seeing it now because TEPCO removed the major debris from the top of the reactor. Probably the steam has been coming up since just after [the earthquake of] March 2011. Sure it's extremely radioactive, nobody can stand on the top of reactor #3, and it's harmful for the west coast. However, it's been that way for 3 years now.

Though this time I agree with Snopes, it is good to keep in mind that Snopes is just an ugly elderly couple with lots of pretensions...
