I am afraid I might have forgotten the rules for posting, especially the one that says that the first reply is not allowed to be a serious reply, but

Mazie sounds like a pretty corny name for me, but that's partly because I'm dyslexic.

So did she just randomly pick out Mazie (?Mayjee?) from the Sorting Hat or is there some alternate reading of 慶子/Keiko that I am missing?

(Answering my own question of whether "Meizie" is even a real name, it turns out that it's the 'pet form of Mairead' ---Gallic.)

Sadly for every hero like Senator Daniel Inoyue, the US gets a Senator like Sleepy* Sam Hayakawa, who was brillant for his work in "General Linguistics" and a total turd as a senator.

*Sleepy Sam was infamous for falling dead asleep on the moment
he took his seat in the Senate or as a guest panelist at linguistics
conferences.

Never trust a cunninglinguist, especially when they have an inordinate interest in playing with pianists.

So I guess we can expect Hawaii to start paving everything around the island while evading federal intervention by saying that 'we, Hawaiian do things our own unique way'. Then going bankrupt and turning the place into the biggest perverted sex club in the world while waiting to the Chinese fleet to come and put an end to that sorry show.

As a former resident, I am all for the expulsion of Hawaii from the United States of America, and replacement/inclusion of Puerto Rico.

They are quite ugly, but I find this particular face beautiful (in the artistic sense, and given her age):

Qualify my earlier post by adding the following phrase to the end of every sentence: ...for a politician.
