I posted the following earlier today in the "Google Earth Pro is now free of charge" thread, but the OP there obviously still has his navel all skew-whiff and changed the thread title again. Fine. I'll take control of the thread title myself. I suppose I can understand. The OP of the other thread probably has no friends to avoid on social networks, so doesn't approve.

Hell, why not make this a Google-bashing thread. The OP might be tempted to consolidate all his "Google Image Search results are crap" complaints here too.

What the world has been waiting for:

Google has been granted a patent on a device to detect when a person stinks to help them evade others [to whom they are connected on a social network] to avoid embarrassment.

Typically snarky source, and one with comments often worth reading.

May be more an indictment of the US Patent Office than Google itself.
