Taking the Piss

Postby Grumpy Gramps » Fri Mar 11, 2016 1:51 am

Beebs wrote:Cow urine is being sold alongside food in convenience stores in London against environmental health advice, the BBC's Asian Network has found.

The liquid is used by worshippers in some Hindu ceremonies - although it is illegal to sell for human consumption in England.

Known as gau mutra, it was found in several shops which also sold food.

The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health warned against its sale where food was present.

All the bottles found by the BBC had a label in Hindi which said they contained cow urine intended "for religious purposes".

Moooar...

Maybe they could substitute with wine (white in this case), like that popular Rome-based sect does with their symbolic cannibalism.

It's not symbolic for papists thanks to transubstantiation.

I thought cannibalism was eating man, not eating son of God.
Oh hang on, he is simultaneously man and God.
Carry on. Not long before Easter, when he can die and come back to life and be delivered up to Heaven.

Of course, Yanpa's point was I think that we should not be so critical: every faith has dodgy corners.

Gau mutra Ark is beneficial in Fatty Liver, Obesity, Cholesterol, Severe Constipation, Skin Diseases, Tuberculosis, Cancer. Gau mutra purifies the body and soul. It is also helpful in Physiological and Psychological disorders

The comments only get better.

Is it so different from drinking the fluid secreted from the modified sweat glands of a cow?

Though, if we want our teeth white or our pretzels brown or upload salt to the cloud, then we take it too, no? So no reason not to wash our babies with it :)

That is incredibly rude of you. Just because she was prepared to model for a stock photo is no reason to go around calling her a cow.

Swiss national sports event goes out of hands.

Cows run amok at Unspunnen festival

Swissinfo wrote:A herd of cows got spooked and ran amok on Sunday, the final day of the Unspunnen festival in Interlaken. One man got knocked down, but nobody was injured.

One of the highlights of the nine-day festival was a three-hour parade on Sunday morning. It featured 4,000 people showing traditional clothing and customs from all 26 cantons. But the excitement proved to be too much for a herd of cows.

The herd, decorated for the occasion, ran a couple of laps around the arena before settling down again. The cattle knocked down a man accompanying them, but they did not trample him. One animal remained calm: a bull.

The 2017 Unspunnen festival attracted 90,000 visitors.
