Mythbusters host Grant Imahara dies at 49

The Verge wrote:Grant Imahara, the engineer who co-hosted Mythbusters for Discovery and White Rabbit Project on Netflix, has suddenly died at the age of 49. “We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant,” Discovery said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. “He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Damn.
He'll be really missed. :frown2:

His death got me motived to finally check what kind of Japanese-American he was: nisei? sansei?

I was guessing nisei, since he had a goofy first name "Grant" and crappy first names are typically given by issesi parents.

However, Grant turned out to be a yonsei (四世) fourth-generation nikkei!

Was really shocked to see him in the news. Really nice guy with an amazing resume. Sad to hear he's gone.

Young age to go, that sucks. I think he had a background in robotics for film before the 'Mythbuster' brand, did stuff on Starwars JurassicPark that kinda thing. Anyways looks like he lived his life doing a job he enjoyed which is not something everyone can say.
