Been fighting the urge to start this thread but finally gave in

http://www.durhamadvertiser.co.uk/news/14793973.Physicist_who_filmed_young_women_up_their_skirts_admits_string_of_sexual_offences/

AN ASTROPHYSICIST’S fall from grace was complete yesterday (Monday, October 10) when he admitted a string of sex offences including following young women and using a mobile phone to film under their skirts.

Dr Jeremy Allington-Smith, 59, outraged public decency by making the moving clips “almost exclusively” of unsuspecting women in short skirts over a five-year period, Durham Crown Court was told.

And he pleaded guilty to a charge of voyeurism in July 2013 when, “for the purposes of sexual gratification”, he recorded a woman doing a private act without her knowledge.

Allington-Smith further admitted outraging public decency, between September 2009 and September 2014, for a series of acts of a "lewd, obscene or disgusting nature" by taking images up women’s skirts without their knowledge.

Personally I blame the Japanese.

Allington-Smith also admitted three charges relating to the possession of 1,818 prohibited images of children. The latter images include Japanese cartoon-type pictures and computer generated images, as well as copies of pictures found in a paedophile manual.

Scientists, so infallible.

There I was thinking it was the work of Legion Minor. Full-width characters, what is more.

Do you give your children Motörhead themed names too?

you are wrong. he originally had the pedophile temperament by nature or nurture before encountered hentai anime/manga.
j-anime and manga culture have been built by the creepiest ppl of undermost layer of school caste, who literally suck at everything(not only studying but also sports, fist fighting and flirting with girls/boys). actually manga/anime circles in my schools were dens of creepiest guys\girls, at least until my childhood. so its totally no wonder that the same layer ppl all over the world gets attracted with j-anime and manga.

Home sweet home
PLANS to convert a pub into housing have been withdrawn following hundreds of complaints from people living nearby.

Residents from the estate sent hundreds of letters into the council protesting against the scheme, which they said was unsuitable for the area and would attract antisocial behaviour.

By anti social behaviour I guess they mean staying home.

So, resignation/sacking number 1 has happened - M Fallon. Always disliked him instinctively.

Me in May wrote:Michael Fallon - Their chosen spearhead. A repulsive 80s throwback who has also been shown up as not nearly as good as cracked up to be. To him the word fair is only important as a noun. And it shows.

Looking forward to finding out what his "odd sexual penchants" are. Or does that just mean he is bisexual and highly promiscuous irrespective of marital status? That in itself isn't an issue but when combined with a superior, prejudiced, judgemental and deeply authoritarian rule that discriminates against people not in accordance with his totally false public image, it is a problem.

Plus the military doesn't like philandering poofs apparently. Even if it's OK in civvy street.

More to come I thinks. Lots more.

All good and well, and these people are not my favorite crop, but they should distinguish between sexual abuse and just being a pervert.

I mean, at the bottom of the list is a guy/girl who likes to have intercourse with men wearing women's perfume.

Of course, it's abuse of perfume, but it hardly qualifies as sexual abuse...

I think Fallon fell on his sword to occupy column inches, twitter feeds & radio airtime, distracting the public from the real juice.

I agree, what consenting adults do on their own time is their own business, however there is a pattern of the abuse of power to exploit the intern meat.

In my brief interaction with political power in my student days I found BJs were currency for preferential budgetting

Strange to be sitting in a meeting looking at another member fellate a beer bottle to remind me of my obligations.

Which is?

As Russell said there is a lot of stuff in there that isn't important. Amber Rudd for example. I don't like her but if she chooses to have an affair with a colleague then it's none of our business provided she doesn't go after people doing the same thing. The one's that need a kicking are the ones using their position and power in the workplace to abuse those less empowered. That I suspect will be Fallon's crime when the full picture emerges. Him blathering on about the military's high standards in all things compared to civilian life is just more of his usual lying through his teeth. And of course leaves him the option of another, non military related, job.

I suppose so, but I don't think he should have to resign from anything over it. His local constituency party are entitled to make their own judgement on the matter in due course - I don't fancy his chances of survival but then again a certain kind of Conservative doesn't care much about sexual mischief.

People found to have used their position to abuse staff should have to not only resign any office they hold but also should be required to resign as an MP. Probably shouldn't be a by-election but there might have to be. The Conservative party should at least kick them out, but I can't see that happening in the current circs.

Wonder what that NDA of Boris's is about? And how much it cost him.

Nor do I. Would seem to be consenting adults doing what they do. I can't see any great moral wrong in that. At least no moral wrong that the public has any legitimate interest in. Might be a spouse involved who has cause to be furious but that's nothing to do with us. Constituency party and voters in their infinite wisdom might give him the boot in due course for being the wrong sort of man. That's their right for any reason.

“But also from the standpoint of sexual assault. When the lights are on, when you have light that shines the righteousness, if you will, on those types of acts.”

:keyboardcoffee:

I wonder how much money it would take to get religions to declare fossil fuels the jizz of satan. Might be more effective than trying to reason with these types.

Of course in a democracy the electorate decides who they wish to have represent them from a fairly limited field.
