Postby Mike Oxlong » Sat Mar 15, 2014 8:34 pm

Hijacked, and could have made it to Kazakhstan or the Southern Indian Ocean.

Likewise. Fascinating bit of SE Asian hijinks. Started to speculate today that Burma has stayed very very quiet through all this.
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

Number of droolies in forums claiming it has been stolen by Iranians, to put a nuke and fly it against the WTC2 getting way too important for my comfort.

For me it's the Drudge Report. Right-wing...sure. Risks being wrong to get the scoop...guilty. Interesting...always. Interpol spurned, pilot's home searched...

35,800 km above sea level. No wonder they can't find it. It's in orbit.

Opps! that's the satellite isn't it? It looks like it was headed for Somalia.

Yes, the standard orbit height for satellites is 35,800 Km, so that is correct. Care in units is crucial. I at first thought the Somalia thing too, air pirates!!! but although the diagram does not explain it I think those arcs indicate that the signal came from a certain vector angle of 40 degrees from horizontal, but they have no information regarding latitude and longitude, so based on fuel and flying time and that angle, they calculate those arcs.

I think the word hijack might be premature. Unless you stretch hijack to mean hijack by the pilots themselves, one of the many theories washing about.

Diego Garcia it is... According to the GRU (ex KGB)

http://www.pisau.net/russia-puzzled-ove ... yformh370/

A new report circulating in the Kremlin today prepared by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces (GRU) states that Aerospace Defence Forces (VKO) experts remain “puzzled” as to why the United States Navy “captured and then diverted” a Malaysia Airlines civilian aircraft from its intended flight-path to their vast and highly-secretive Indian Ocean base located on the Diego Garcia atoll.

It's funny how "the terrorists!!" keeps coming up in the media but that Register article is the first one that sorta hints at my guess, that the plane was taken over to steal whatever was on board.

Me bitch fall in the same logic... Who cares aboot the tragedy, AS LONG as it's not Islamotowelheads it's ok...

Couldn't that have been durians instead of mangosteens?

I would have hijacked a plane for that too...
