That's the article that gives all the credit to Tony Blair. Never mind it doesn't matter - They'll probably both get a joint Nobel Prize for Peace. They probably deserve each other. As do the little family fiefdoms of the UAE and Bahrain. The big family fiefdom (KSA) is still not getting on board I see - not that any of it matters very much. It's all show and playacting which is typical of that part of the world.
It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

I see Prez Moon in Worst Korea is suing for peace. Nothing to do with the Trump effect. We could have another war ended. What is going on? All these so-called flukes and minor changes. Could the last superpower be a driver for good in the world...?

More Antifa Riots? More and more Burnings, Looting, Murders incoming?

Kenosha: Business Owner in Tears After BLM Rioters Torched His Car Dealership Two Nights in a Row. A total of 137 cars were all burnt to a crisp, 17 people employed by Car Source lost their jobs, and the owner lost "every dime" he has and doesn't know what to do

Never fear. Soon the US Supreme Court will be whole again, and able to render majority decisions upholding the Constitution.

The riots, burning, and looting reaction from the police involved with the Breonna Taylor death is just plain stupid. Her death is a tragedy but her being killed by a bullet shot as return fire at her armed boyfriend is not murder or a crime.

OOh, be careful what you say or rather write! Jingai and Wage Slave will deal with you in their way that sidesteps logic precisely in favour of emotive, how I feel arguments. To be fair to Jingai he or she is not Wage Slave playing the race card and having the modus operandi of saying the same thing again and again to justify the lack of logic and debate.

All the people black, white and everything else including the multi million dollar Black sportspeople who somehow think that the millions they earn and the love all kinds of people have for them means nothing and the system that enables their fame and riches is completely racist and needs to be blown away like the moron Don Lemon head said on TV, that are saying Brionna's case is 'murder' need to read a law book or two. Keeping to the law, the police can't be tried for murder.

How we feel about what they did and the outrageous shooting through the walls that a police officer who got fired did, are different matters. But this continual howling for blood and reprisals and burning down of businesses that have nothing to do with any black person falling foul of the police anywhere is just helping the Republicans. What many BLM people and their supporters, famous or not want, are kangaroo courts. Fuck em.

What I'm hearing from rellies in the US is that there are some Democrats that will keep out of this election despite their strong dislike for Trump and even Democrats that will secretly vote for him. The looting, burning, hating and beating and even killing of people completely unconnected with police brutality is downright disgusting and shameful. All the more so because it's being done by people who claim to be morally correct and the Democrat pollies are saying little about this nasty mess.

As for Don Lemon railing against the system saying it needs to be 'blown up - what a fucking hypocrite, I don't care what skin colour he is. He IS the system with his privileged, cushy CNN job serving up propaganda. Don is one of 14 percent of people in the US known as African Americans and he like them is over-represented in some industries thanks to affirmative action and other ways to assist African Americans.

NO, oh NO - you're just racist. Or you just don't care about black people's experiences in the USA from slavery days to now, blah blah blah.

Note how BLM, Anti FA and many of their followers with public profiles such as 'celebrities' manage to just about criminalise anybody who doesn't agree with their way of going about things, their arguments which are often extremist and illogical and their neo-Maoist agenda by dealing the deadly 'racist card'.

That shitshow, so called debate, didn't embarrass America. It demeaned America. Make America Great Again? America was truly great whether people liked it or not, but is very far from great at the moment. That it has fallen so far so fast is shocking.

I don't agree. As it happens, I have always liked America and am pro American warts and all as long as we reserve the right to tell America to get lost sometimes. Others may have always disliked it but they never felt pity and distain for it like now.

This is why I don't like the generalizing statements like "America is racist" or "America is a failed country."

America doesn't exist in a vacuum....

The racist country assertion falls apart when you ask what countries are not racist. Racism exists everywhere and will take time/education/experience to overcome. Legally speaking, racism has been outlawed. In practice, enforcement, etc., it still rears it's ugly head so you need to be prepared to deal with it. When you have people bending reality and claiming half the country is racist, it only serves to alienate those who they claim need to reflect more on their actions. That(s not a solution, it does nothing but divide a country that has already enshrined in law that racism is wrong and it's in the best interest of society to make efforts to put an end to it.

Failed country and saying it's in decline are based on? The current political situation is fucked and needs to be unfucked but I'm pretty optimistic that's possible. Trump or Biden, worst case scenario is 4 years of more assery from each side....I really hope Ben Shapiro runs in 2024. I don't agree with him on maybe 15% of the issues but that's an 85% I can live with and he would bring some much needed reason to the country.

But it has been declining for a long time. I travel the world for work, every plane seat buddy, next bar stool, and taxi driver wants to talk politics.

The last Bush years seemed to be the beginning of where it really went downhill (although I know that was started by the Clinton's).

It got so bad I didn't want to tell people I was an american.

It seemed to change when Obama was elected (with his hope and change shit). It was safe to be an american again at least for a couple of years (while he did nothing).

Politicians are reflections of you population. People vote for someone they can relate to vs someone who will make the hard, unpopular decisions needed to unfuck the country.

The americans of today, with their hands out, will vote for anyone who will promise them free stuff.

This is just another election where I won't be voting for the lesser of two evils (or two idiots, take your pick).

I definitely agree it's an election of the lesser of two idiots but I don't think either of them are a reflection of the population. It's just political tribalism around the two monkeys that climbed to the top.

The country is prosperous (and not just for the so called 1%'), but the cities look like war zones.

I am most definitely not a neo-marxist and I don't begrudge the prosperity that people have worked for (including billionaires).

I would think with the the prosperity we have, that solutions could be found for the growing homelessness, mental issues, gun violence, and drugs in our cities.

It seems we can spend billions propping up some of our "allies", but none helping our own people (that would be socialism...).

I'd argue the current "war zone" situation is a result of the pent up frustrations and the media fanning the flames more than a reaction to the reality of the current state of society. I saw a vid yesterday where a mob went out to lynch a guy who posted videos of himself beating his dog. Fuck that guy but mob justice?? WTF?

I'm with you on doing more to raise the bar for the bottom of society. What's good for society is ultimately good for those prosperity. How much money and how it is utilized is debatable, personal responsibility needs to come into play at some point but giving the average person as many avenues to success as possible is an ideal I'd subscribe to. Dealing with mental illness and the very related homeless, drug, and gun issues is not easy but I don't think the fact that they need to be dealt with is a partisan issue. There is soooo much room for improvement...but it's a bit depressing we're not hearing much in the way of viable solutions.

Trump's message on mask wearing leaves much to be desired and his own choices may have indeed opened him up to unnecessary exposure and eventually getting the virus but it's objectively false to claim he helped the virus go around. As much as people want to blame Trump and call him fascists, the state governments chose their responses and the federal government supported them. Some states fared better than others but dealing with a new virus like this, even the states that had the most solid responses had no immunity to the chaos caused by it. Far too many factors to lay blame, it sucks but it shouldn't be politicized nor should conspiracy theories be created. Look at how we are in Japan now...the Yamanote is back to rush hour crowding yet masks are proving to be effective. Meanwhile in China, they are cheering that Trump got Covid and calling it the American virus.

Japanese school exchange students see the West for real with their own eyes. The USA and much of the West is now ....Paris Snydrome .... for Japanese? Japan Female high school student goes to the USA to life her dream as an exchange student, starts to witness a lawless anarchist shithole in the schools, sees American degeneracy at study abroad in US. Fighting, Theft, Violence & Smoking Weed, Kids with Alchohol and Hard Drugs is norm, joins a Militray mom with black adopted child, some of the kids only speak a weird form of jive ebonic wigger English talk, her hopes collapse, Everyday crazy every day is trouble is violence.

Rin decides to return to Japan

"If I keep staying here, I'll lose my mind," Rin said in December, she decided to go back home two months earlier than she had originally planned.

"I can't take an entrance exam that takes advantage of my experience studying abroad because I don't have enough qualifications to take it anymore. But I'm still glad I came back to Japan."

"A homemade cake was handed to me by my friend on Halloween. There was a mixture of marijuana inside. It smells too, so you can notice right away. When I ate it, it made me feel a little fluffy, and I thought their was something strange." She felt that her body was in danger.

When I got home, I was treated like a house maid.

I was attending a school where drugs and violence are rampant, and lived like a house maid. I could no longer bare it and consulted the host family, but no action was taken. Instead, the relationship with the host mother became more rough.

Rin contacted two Japanese students she knew who were also studying abroad. Then, it turned out that they too were suffering.

"They paid extra for the options to go to a private school, so they didn't seem to have any complaints about the school, but they were in trouble with their host families. One of them had his cell phone taken away and he couldn't contact his family, so he consulted a school teacher and the police had to intervene to change the host.

"I saw some students going to school in their pajamas. Everyone's clothes were very sloppy."

After going there for a few days, the strangeness came to light one after another. People were constantly chatting in class, and everything at the school was out of of order. That's not all.

"There was a person doing marijuana in math class. At first I didn't realize what the smell was, but gradually started to realize what it was,. the toilet smelled like marijuana, and drugs were being used all over the school."

Violence was rampant in schools. What surprised me was that there was a dedicated social media page that reported the fights and brawls happening at the school. I don't know who made it, but once every three days there's a video of students fighting each other. It wasn't an environment where I could do my studies seriously."

Marijuana and violence are part of the culture. I told myself so, but what is the meaning of accepting the rough condition of the school as a culture and making an effort to become familiar with it? I couldn't wipe away my doubts.

She desperately wanted to go back to Japan however she was told by study abroad group that sent her

"If you break the rules and go back to your home country, you will not be able to apply to a university if you have studied abroad." "I had my parents give me a lot of money, but when I thought that it would all be wasted, I strongly thought that I had to endure it at all costs."

"For me, America was a glittering country of longing. I also had a strong desire to improve my English skills. Unfortunately, when I went to study abroad, all my hopes collapsed."

LOL, totally feasible experience but smells like a bullshit story with an agenda when they leave out the location. Where did she go to study? Detroit? Baltimore? When someone says they went to Europe and it sucks...it doesn't really mean anything without more details. This is the equivalent of a US student coming to study and do a homestay in Roppongi. "Fighting, Theft, Violence & Cocaine" are the norm.
