Toyota, Honda roll back horsepower claims
UPI, August 18, 2005
DETROIT ---
Toyota Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Corp. have rolled back horsepower estimates on key cars given stricter tests developed by top U.S. industry engineers.
The revised ratings comply with new Society of Automotive Engineers standards that are intended to eliminate subjective interpretation of horsepower ratings...
Toyota has rolled back horsepower estimates for its Camry -- the best-selling car in the United States -- as has Honda on its luxurious Acura RL....A number of Ford and General Motors models actually had higher horsepower ratings under the new horsepower-rating system ...more...

Hmmmm. I think it is too convenient that, "a number of Ford and General Motors models actually had higher horsepower ratings under the new horsepower-rating system." That smells fishier than a sushi shop with a broken refrigerator.

The new system is very simple! One horse plus one horses equals two horse and runs very fast.

One horse plus one half a horse rounds off two two horses, but does run as fast and eats less oats.

Sure sounds like a you save more gas ploy!

Oats, smoats. All I want is to make hay.
Long live the Hay King
Herald, Wednesday, Aug 17, 2005 - 03:11:30 pm PDT, GRANT COUNTY ---
... the Washington State University Grant-Adams Area Cooperative Extension has been putting on the Hay King competition at the Grant County Fairgrounds....
The hay is tested visually, with characteristics being judged including the stage of maturity, leafiness, leaf retention, texture and odor. Points are deducted if the hay has too much moisture or foreign materials, such as dust, weeds, odd grasses or garbage like tin cans or plastic bags.
The hay is also tested for quality, and analyzed at Soil Test Farm Consultants, which provides free testing.
The visual and quality scores are combined, and the highest score for either domestic or import alfalfa wins the Hay King competition.
The visual score is weighted 80 percent for export, and 40 percent for domestic.
"For domestic hay, the (quality) feed test is much more important for dairymen," Kugler said. "The export hay goes to Japan, and they aren't near as interested in chemical tests as they are in visual attributes."....

Now in the same post you have denigrated both horsepower and straw.

This is quite offensive.

The legality of that car's registration is also very questionable.

Is that car SPAM powered?
