Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage, who stars in the upcoming comic-book adaptation Ghost Rider, became a father for the second time on Oct. 3 and named his newborn son Kal-el, the Kryptonian birth name of Superman.

New season of Smallville just kicked off in the US last week, the guy who played 'Spike' in Buffy and Angel (James Marsters) is in season 5 & is going to played Professor Milton Fine (aka "Brainiac"). He helps turn Lex and Clark into enemies and tries to turn Clark into a 'baddie'.

Kal-El has his powers taken off him by his father Jor-El, and while he's 'mortal' starts a relationship again with Lana and bones her for the first time... being mortal he dosent have to use Kryptonite condoms (otherwise shed have supergoo coming out the top of her head)
