IBM ThinkPad T20 For Sale

Postby FG Lurker » Wed Nov 02, 2005 10:09 am

I have two notebooks for sale and one desktop. A recent move has changed priorities and possibilities so these need to be sold. The first one up:

IBM ThinkPad T20
IBM Model Number 2645-KS1 (IBM Specifications Page)
Windows 2000 English
Intel Mobile Pentium III 650MHz
13.3" 1024x768 TFT Display
256MB Memory
6GB Hard Disk Drive
24x CD-ROM Drive (Internal)
LAN / Modem / USB / SVHS Video / etc
English Recovery CD

The keyboard is Japanese but it is properly mapped to work with English Windows 2000. The Win2K license is legit with the MS sticker on the bottom of the machine.

This computer is in excellent condition. The HDD is a bit small at 6GB but it will take larger drives, up to 40GB definitely, also 80GB should be possible. HDD upgrades are very simple in this machine, and the Recovery CD will reinstall Windows on the new HDD automatically. (I will upgrade the drive for you for the cost of the drive if that is of interest, but really, it is a super-simple process.)

The T20 is larger than the B5 sub-notebooks but smaller than a full-sized A4 model. It's light enough to carry around (unlike the big A4s) but has a large and comfortable keyboard, great for touch-typing (unlike tiny B5s).

I'm asking 40,000yen, but am open to reasonable offers. I can pack it for shipping anywhere in Japan, or I can meet in the Osaka area.

The Toshiba notebook and the custom-built tower have sold, but I still have this great IBM available!

A photo of the machine I have here (click to enlarge):

I've installed a 20GB 5,400rpm hard disk into the machine. The disk was 7,000yen but I'll only put the price up by 5,000. So 45,000 for the machine now with the 20GB drive.

I've finally put ads out elsewhere too, so it might sell in the next few days -- hopefully anyway! If anyone is interested please PM.
