The polite word most modern J-ladies love to hear is, "Wife-fu" (waifu with the cachet of Katakana). Go figure.

Hehehe, I have never heard waifu even used in the inaka.. that must be a tokyo thing.

Out in the docks, its all about the ben, ya either got it or ya don't. And I don't. Not yet anyway.
I know English is much the same way. We don't generally say how are you? It's more like, what's up? or How ya doin? etc... Japanese must have a hell of time learning colloquial English. How do you you explain words like Crunk, wack, doo doo brown etc.. or phrases like chillin' at the crib, get in that Puddin' Tang or Puddin' Tane, or guard your grill, knuckle up, go halfsies on a pizza etc.. hehehe

You don't hear often, except on TV in the presence of lame feminists...but it is instantly understandable.

I feel the pain, FG:!:

So ka, do-inaka jin wa ketsu no ana ga chiisai, da na.*

But sheeeeee-it, speaking the local ben slang can be fun even if it's frustrating at times. I gotta put up with the grating Wakayama-ben on the phone, which makes the worst Bronx talk sound smooth. :?

*Yeah, hicks can be pain in butt.
(Literally, "Hicks got small assholes" meaning they're so inflexible and narrow minded.)
