Draft Horses Get Woman

Ayumi Tani in Rob Pongi hat
Draft horse racing in Japan has its first woman trainer.

The sport, which is heavily in debt in Japan, involved horses weighing, in some cases, well over a tonne, pulling 500kg iron sleds in races.

The new trainer, Ayuumi Tani, 39, is determined to breathe new life into the sport, known as Ban-ei, for the sake of the giant animals that take part.

I didn't even know there was any Draft Horse Racing in Japan but I wanted to post this especially for G.B. 'cause of his 'special' admiration of horses. Besides I couldn't find anything in the news about dog racing.

G.B, you did mention in another thread that: "I always wanted to get into horses"

I hope you didn't mean that literally. Image

]keiba.go.jp[/B]:

... In addition to flat races are unique draft races, called Ban-ei races, which are held only in Hokkaido region. These races, which are only conducted at four racecourses in Hokkaido, are run by such heavy horses as the sturdy Perusherons, Bretons and Belgians, which pull a slighted weighing from about half a ton to one ton, along a 200-meter separated straight track with two humps. The dynamic Ban-ei races, which enjoy a large following originated as a popular game among local people in horse-breeding areas in Hokkaido and Tohoku ...

I really don't care for Rob O'Pongi hats, but the mane on the other one is kinda sexy, I wonder if she barks?

I'm sure she likes going for long walks and the odd roll in the hay.

In Amish country it is well known that females make good buggy horses (not draft work horses). If you want to have a 'romp-in-the-hay' with one of these guys you better have a pretty strong back, (along with a Mammoth Cave sized rectum for a human).

The next problem, the dog bark

Working Dogs Near Horses

Some dogs never pay much attention to horses but some like to chase them. Still others are downright afraid of them!

Working a dog next to a horse can be a formidable training challenge if the dog is not started correctly. Even if you don't plan on working your dog off horseback, you should get him used to being around a horse.

I have to admit, I am out of my league on this one!

But if that's what you're into....?

Now see! There you go jumping on josans again, I mean to conclusions. It wasn't your helmet at all. It was the one that the Irish guy, Rob 0'Pongi wears that I was talking about. The one with the green Pom Pom on top and the beer tap on the side (I'd be the first to admit that he may have stolen your patent)!

You must remain cool, because it is you who is suppose to lookout for the happy hour crowd with the appropriate protective equipment! What would we do if the big one hit after work and no one had any Pongi wear?

Well, I'm sure we'd all like a Pongi Helmet. I know I already have some pongy socks to match. But the helmet market may soon become flooded if the Germans ban the 100,000 Dutch-made world cup helmets sold so far ...

Hmmm, that could get interesting. Here is the Pongi Helmet worn by the US Military. I wonder if they'll get banned as well?

Mine too! Being a denizen of Roppongi relegates me to the bilges of humanity, so everything is above my head, but I digress, it is happy hour and I must immediately leave for six trees for my evening sustenance. I don't drink as a rule, only as a habit!

It's happy hour here too, but without 'the habit' nothing of Rob's even begins to penetrate my hardened, lifeless, brain cells!

Well, I must add that I was mainly picking on Gboothe-sama because he is a "Descendent From Heaven" which most people think is some kind of glorious being from On High etc. But to me, it means one thing and one thing only: HE WAS REJECTED BACK DOWN TO EARTH! And in Gboothe's case, he deserves all that he gets cause he must have done something really, REALLY BAD to get kicked out all the way down to the depths of Roppongi!!!!

:spin:

For his ORIGINAL SIN, he was cast down to serve Pentinance in Roppongi for claiming to be the TRUE ROB PONGI.

If this is true, I agree, he deserves everything he gets!

You guys are always horsing around. You just gotta know how to handle horses!

"Viagra for stallion who wouldn't horse around...

BERLIN (Reuters) - A German court ordered viagra to be given to a stallion after his new owner claimed he was impotent and refused to pay the full asking price.

The buyer of the horse called Vedor paid just a tenth of the price of over 4,000 euros ($4,900), claiming it had only one testicle and failed to get frisky with a female pony.

A vet found the testicle after an examination, said Egbert Simons, a spokesman for the court in the eastern town of Neuruppin.

And when the stallion was given the potency drug, it emerged he was fully functional, he added.

The court ordered the buyer to pay the full price."

See! it works for them as well!
