I'm 33. I no longer have interest in spending a lot of time in bars trying to pick up women. If I meet a woman I am interested in then I'll ask her to dinner. If it goes somewhere then great! If it doesn't I usually don't care. The money for dinner means little to me, and I enjoy the dinner regardless of the outcome.


I think our lifestyles are very different. I'd sooner spend a weekend hanging out on the island where my avatar photo was taken than spend it in a smoky bar trying to pick up women. Ten years ago I would have chosen the bar instead. Things change.

Perhaps you consider your time and effort to be worthless? If this is the case then you are getting sex for free (assuming you aren't buying drinks, dinner, paying for the hotel, taxi, etc).

If you consider your time and effort to have value then you are paying for sex with the investment of time and effort. Is this such a difficult concept? I guess if you don't consider your time to be valuable it is difficult to understand those who do.

The kind of lady that would continue dating a cheapskate are a very rare breed, and even rarer are those that date downwards on the financial scale.

Cheapskates - I think the equivalent in a female is a gold digger and I doubt many guys would like to date one of those either.

But I do think that many guys are intinimated by a woman who has more money then they do. It is more of a problem for the guys ego than it is a power play by the chick.

However, most financially independant girls I know have got there through hard work and knowing their strengths and allies. (I don't know any heiresses to the Conrad empire).
