Racing around to come up behind you again

I did a search before posting - really I did. But HanziSmatter search returned no posts. Should have realised that Taro would beat me to it.

But topics now merged...

Can you imagine reading something while "hitting it" from the back?

Too weird.

Shucks. Get some AND go to bed with a good book.

Oh the possibilities. And there would be no complaints of "you came too soon".

IHT: Body art with botched messages
LOS ANGELES Shad Magness wanted to celebrate the love he felt for his young son with a grand gesture. At a Los Angeles tattoo parlor four years ago, he had two Chinese characters etched in a prominent spot on his left forearm. He assumed that the translation in the sample book the tattoo artist showed him - "one love" - was correct. The first sign of trouble came six months later, when Magness was shopping at a Staples office supply store and the checkout clerk informed him that the characters on his arm meant not "one love" but "love hurts"...more...

That's what I'm talking about! What a great job blending the tats from Tochigi hiragana into a red fire barfing rat or whatever that is (Notice I was extremely careful not to say a GAY rat)!

(P.S. Your triceps need a little more work)

I wonder who is responsible?

i think it's freaking hilarious, personally

it's just as amusing as the kanji i see splattered around on tshirts, hats, bumper stickers etc. almost none of them have a translation so the poor suckers who buy em have no idea what they're fancy shmancy cool kanji says, which is usually something embarassing, nonsensical, or stupid :p

that being said, i do have one tshirt with kanji on it, from jlist so at least i know what it says: Sake-bito

The sonno joi shirt would probably be more appropriate for FG. Too bad it's so ugly.

It only translates properly for the manniquin and my girl friend. She's a 38-d cup when she wears a tee shirt. When she gets home and hangs it on the chair at night and puffs her chest out as far as she can get it, she's a hard pushed 32-b, if she can even make that. The translation fits perfectly.
