Ex-Imperial Japanese Army soldier found alive in Ukraine
TOKYO, April 17_(Kyodo) _It has been confirmed that a former Imperial Japanese Army soldier is living in Ukraine, officials at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare said Monday.
Ishinosuke Uwano, 83, from Iwate Prefecture, was in Sakhalin, Russia, at the end of World War II, and is now living in Ukraine with his family, according to the officials.

I assume that the said soldier has been living there by choice. The story is not entirely surprising as towards the end of the war, communism was on the rise in the Imperial Army, as a result I imagine quite a few Japanese choose to go to the workers paradise. Soviet Supreme should be proud.

Soviet Supreme is always happy when people stay in Soviet Union. This is not surprise since everyone loves Soviet system. Soon, all of world will be part of Soviet Union. Even Evil Pongi lives in Soviet Union. Everyone is welcome to be part of Soviet Union except AssKissinger. He is enemy of Soviet people.

I thought he may have been one of the many POWs taken by the soviets to work in the Siberian workers paradise. In any case I don't think he was still fighting. :)

If he raised his left index figure a bit, he'd be in exactly the same pose.

Spooky.

Spooky indeed.
Spookier to me is that on NHK lunchtime news he was shown only speaking Russian to JAPANESE reporters, WTF. On TV Asahihe spoke Japanese worse than me....and my Japanese (and French) sounds like a drunk cow on 'shooms.
