Michael Jackson to visit Japan

Postby kamome » Sat May 27, 2006 12:19 am

Jackson to get MTV Japan's "Legend Award"

Image

Jackson was quoted as saying, "I look forward to my visit to Japan because I have so many fond memories of my visits there. I thank MTV Japan for this honor and Mr. Morris for spearheading this visit.

"I look forward to seeing old friends and saying hello to my huge fan base in Japan who, like my other fans around the world, have for so many years consistently shown their love and support to me and my family."

It's all a f*cked gaijin's fault!

....The Asian tour is being organized by Broderick D. Morris, chief executive of Positive Productions Yokohama, an entertainment promotions company, Bain said.
"Michael Jackson is a legend....He loves Japan and we love him," Morris said in a press release.....

And watch out, all you UK residents...

Michael Jackson Wants to Live in the UK

The Daily Mirror said Jackson would be looking at luxury properties in and around the British capital.

He also plans to look in Scotland and Ireland in a bid to re-create the funfair style ranch he built in California, it said.

You guys must love it when our has-been celebrities decide to take up residence in your country to "re-create" the lifestyle they had in the US.

He used to be good friends with Uri Geller who is living over here. They now seem to get described as "former friends" so maybe that isn't a factor. Geller also just bought the house that Elvis lived in prior to moving to Graceland. Jackson would be mad to move to the UK given the behaviour of the tabloid press in this country.

Geller, who bought the house with two others, said he hoped to take children on tours of the restored property and eventually turn it into a museum.

Maybe this is the connection that Geller and Jackson always enjoyed.

Hey, now Jacko is going after little girls too with his new fashion line of masks like the ones "Prince", "Paris", and "Prince Michael II/"Blanket" have to wear. .

Michael Jackson makes surprise appearance on SMAP program

TOKYO — Michael Jackson, 47, made a surprise appearance on the popular TV variety show "SMAP x SMAP" on Wednesday. It was the singer's first ever appearance in a variety program in Japan. Jackson's visit was kept secret from the members of the popular band. While they were singing their new song "Buzzer Beater," the sound was suddenly turned off and Jackson showed up on the set.

Shingo Katori couldn't help but laugh at the situation while Masahiro Nakai said he was too excited to continue hosting the show. Takuya Kimura thought it was a lookalike from Roppongi, while Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and Goro Inagaki both welcomed the superstar with applause.

I'm wondering if he was there to get personal introduction to 'Johny' Kitagawa.;)

Daily Mirror: JACKO 'TO ADOPT TOT IN JAPAN'
MICHAEL Jackson plans to adopt a Japanese orphan, it has been claimed. The dad-of-three, 47, is said to have visited children's homes there on his current Far East tour. US gossip columnist Roger Friedman said: "His trip to Japan was not all about publicity and quick self-gratification for a dimmed star with no fans. "He toured orphanages. I'm told he's looking for kids to add to his current collection of three." The star, cleared of sex abuse last year, is fighting ex-wife Debbie Rowe for custody of their daughter Paris, eight, and son Prince Michael, nine. He also has an adopted boy, Prince Michael II, four. But Mr Friedman added: "Why Japanese authorities would let Jackson leave their country with children would be a good question. "You'd think standing trial for child molestation would be an impediment to adoption." Jacko declined to comment
