A lecturer at the univ I work at bought a Japanese car in the United Emirates. He wanted to sell it, and after all kinds of crap, ended up going to court in UE because the car was stolen. He has asked me to get a document from Japan confirming it's a stolen car.
Sillygirl
I went quiet after our last correspondence in August regarding the vehicle. I haven't given up on it yet.
I have been pursuing the matter, this time via the courts. Two judgements have note gone in my favour, but each one has left scope to pursue the matter further and I am now working on my third and, I hope, final attempt.
I require your assistance, once more. This time, I am looking for contacts in Japan who can help me get the vehicle records or point me towards agents that can check on the status of the vehicle. I suspect this vehicle was stolen and as such, a stolen vehicle check [using records in Japan] is required before the court passes its final judgement.
I also managed to contact Motor Vehicle Information Department on 00815055402030 [press 026 after the recorded message], but they speak Japanese only. So, they asked me to find someone who speaks Japanese to contact them on my behalf. Essentially, the request is for STOLEN VEHICLE CHECK.
Anyone got advice/assistance? I.E What is Japanese for Stolen Vehicle Check?
Cheers
