The images above are part of the Hapa Collection, where visitors to an exhibition were asked to take polaroids and describe themselves. There's an enormous amount of information on this site in the form of articles, links, pictures and videos. I now know that Japan has the world's best chick-sexers and I've heard the plantation songs of Japanese workers in Hawaii for the first time.

The Mormons send their bad kids to work on LDS-church-owned pineapple plantations. Knew a kid in high school who'd been sent there. Didn't know any pineapple-pickin' spirituals, but said the pineapples shredded your clothes and then your skin, so to assuage his anger he slashed some of the benches in the gym.

Just before posting, I wondered how much of the site's content has already been covered before on FG. I should have guessed that Taro had picked up on the chick-sexing. (Of course, a quick search would have told me that too).

Actually, at least at one time, the entire chick-sexing industry in California was controled by the Japanese issei and nisei. I always tried to get a mate of mine who was quite good at this and made ungodly fees doing it partime, to tell me how it is done.

All he would ever tell me is "I just flip'em over and see if they have balls"! Needless to say, I never learned how he could do this, but it amazed me to learn about this "must" topic for any cocktail party!
