A golf writer friend wants aerial views of the Hirono and Kawana golf courses as reference for routing maps in a book.
There must be a Japanese equivalent of Google and MS maps but gaijin search engines are recalcitrant.

Google's satellite maps cover Japan but often not in very high res. I don't know of any similar Japanese satellite services.

Oh man that was awesome. I figured I'd look for some easy landmark I know like Mt. Hakodate. A little search, found a little map indicating the location of each aerial photo. The first pic I hit was right on target, the 400DPI version (warning: 2.2MB pic)was incredibly detailed.
