Well said. There is a tendency with some Christians to look for Christian messages in places they don't exist to justify their interest or belief in things that are decidedly non-Christian.

Japan has a very, very low Christian population, they’re just 2 percent of the total Japanese population. BUT Christmas is still a big holiday celebrated by most of the population there. Why? BECAUSE OF KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN!!! You see, Kentucky Fried Chicken (which implanted itself pretty hard in Japan) decided to bring over Christmas as a marketing stunt, selling their products and Christmas as a “pure American tradition”. And it worked, to the point that no religious or traditional aspect of Christmas came in Japan, but its commercialized side landed pretty well. Due to its origins, Japanese Christmas main tradition is to eat fried chicken.
