Someone explain this to me. Imagine you are Japanese and have never gotten to second base with a chick. So you become a proud uyoku. If you are trying to win the hearts and minds of your fellow countrymen/women who do have sex, why would you go to Toranomon and clog traffic and split eardrums of all the poor sarlarimen/women who just want to get a greasy bento for lunch without having someone screaming, "Fuck Kitachousen!" over and over again? Then again, I never really understood Japanese logic.
Video is a bit rustic, and I was hoping for some violence. Alas, for those masochists out there, I give you October 10, 2007's Toranomon Uyoku Matsuri.

It's funny you post this now. I was just on the phone today with an uyoku who said he had to hang up and head on out to attend some kind of rally against North Korea. He said he'd be busy between around noon and 2 p.m. So I guess this is around the time when you shot this footage.

The weird thing was that these uyoku called the police ahead of time to inform them of their route. :wall:

Their homebase is in west Shibuya and I saw the police directing traffic for them as they re-entered the shrine compound they used as their return/parking area at 3:30pm.

Just like any leftist demo, they have to file a petition to hold a demonstration which includes their numbers and exact route, plus the start and stop time of the demo.

BTW that video was taken right around the corner for my office Iraira, you should have let me know we could have got a pint at the Dubliners there!

But if you do come by, don't bring Taro. He's a nasty drunk and would probably start his own demo!

Actually, it was taken right around the corner from my office. Sadly, I don't drink, but as I am right near the Jamacian embassy....no need for alcohol, mon.

Besides which, It kinda strikes me as odd that the uyoku go about their buisness as if they were a 'natural' part of political discourse in this country. The way I see it, the decline of the left in Japan is part of the problem. People gotta grow some balls and shut those screaming mother fuckers up. Even a revisionist history lesson cant dispute the fact that this right winger shit ended in the summer of '45 with two atomic bombs. A crying shame.
