Actually, the salads they sell in the US at least, really are pretty bad once you add the dressing, croutons, bacon, and cheese. They seem to be a bit lighter here though.

Trust McDonalds to take an otherwise healthy dish and boost the calorie count to ridiculous highs.

I actually thought that MickyD's didn't need an expiration date, as it sure as hell ain't food that they're selling.

Nope, just keep an eye on the colors, when the salad is brown and the burger is green, you might wish to reconsider your order.........

McDonald's admits 6 years of mislabeling

Yomiuri McShimbun

The four McDonald's outlets in Tokyo found recently to have sold salads with false production dates have been doing so almost daily for about five to six years, according to a McDonald's Co. (Japan) public relations officer.

At an initial press conference held Tuesday, shortly after the mislabeling came to light, a McDonald's spokesman said that the falsification of production date labels began two years ago. In addition, yogurt labels also were changed, he said.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference Thursday, however, McDonald's Chairman Eiko Harada said mislabeling actually became common practice at the outlets in Waseda in Shinjuku Ward and Shin-Otsuka and Hongo in Bunkyo Ward in Tokyo in December 2001, and at the outlet in front of JR Otsuka Station in July 2002.

Actually, you're more likely to die from a stab wound than you are from a gunshot... (if you don't die right-out from said gunshot)

My point is, rather than choosing the lesser of two evils, it would be better to avoid them altogether.
