M5.1 quake jolts Tokyo, vicinity early Monday
Three people in Tokyo were injured early Monday morning in an earthquake that shook areas centering on Tokyo, Ibaraki and Saitama prefectures with an estimated magnitude of 5.1 on the Richter scale, the Japan Meteorological Agency and the Tokyo Fire Department said.

In Tokyo, a 12-year-old junior high school student fell off his bed and broke his right arm, and two other people were injured, the fire department said.

Much safer to sleep on the floor.

In most cases, the bed is exactly the size of the room, eliminating those nasty falls...

It surely was a biggie - I was awake watching a video at about 1am and my wine glasses started to rattle - but if nothing falls off the shelf, it can't be too bad. Then there was a nice little after-shock a few minutes later.

I actually quite like earthquakes.. as long as they stay below 6 that is fine with me..
