Ski-Jumping pairs. The next dancing oyaji

Postby Ol Dirty Gaijin » Sun Feb 08, 2004 2:49 pm

Tower in Shinjuku had this as their #1 DVD for the week.
Ski-Jumping pairs?

Suppose it beats the CGI dancing oyaji's from a few years ago. Anyhow while it's up....

Interesting.

I'm still looking for a link to the JR "WE WANT SNOW!" video. Anybody know if that's even online?

Ski Jumping Pairs

Postby Mulboyne » Wed Jan 23, 2008 6:35 am

"Ski Jumping Pairs" is a series of digital animations imagining what athletes might do in such an imaginary competition. There's a website selling DVDs and the only reason I came across them is that one of the films was shown on NHK satellite. The Road To Torino DVD actually creates a whole backstory where a Japan tries to get the IOC to accept pair jumping as an Olympic sport and introduces various foreigners who are prepared to take up the challenge. Apparently, short versions of these video clips are popular on pachinko machines,

I remember back around 2004 - the DVDs were selling at HMV.
I think it was no.1 at the time too. If you look on yahoo auctions
you'll probably find heaps these days.
I broke a mirror this morning, which means I should be getting 7 years of bad luck - but my lawyer says he can get me 5.

Ummm....What is up with Holland?

Postby SuperGaijin » Wed Jan 23, 2008 1:08 pm

I had to make an account just to ask the question, WTF is up with Holland's move? I am fairly certain that one guy was being spun by his crotch attached to his partner's face....yeah and that's all I have to say about that.
