Okay, now that Taro has, uh, inserted the term "gerbeling" into the discussion....There was a SPY Magazine article back around 1990 described the tour an American jazz musician (I forget his name, dammit!) took of Brazil. Inundated with questions from reporters, but speaking no Portuguese, he'd answer every question with either "Tom's of Maine" or "Gerbeling." A couple of days later he picked up a newspaper with a story about him. The headline was "Louco para Hamsters."
