That job says ME all over it. I've got ALL the skills and experience they are looking for except I'm weak in one area. My reading fluency.
Hiragana & Katakana are no problem. WRITING Kanji is not a problem with a computer, but it's the reading Kanji is what I have trouble with.

But everything else...I love anime and manga and I'm all over Mac OSX. At one point I could have bene considered a Photoshop and Illustrator professional because I used them daily at work.

HOWEVER. I've no desire to go to California.
I will not abide ignorant intolerance just for the sake of getting along.

AO, no offense, but how on earth can you write it without being able to read it? Even with keyboard input, how do you know you've selected the correct kanji if you can't recognize them?

Damn, I can only lift up to 19 pounds. I guess I'm out.

What is this job, in the hentai department of Viz?

VIZ Media does not condone the viewing of this content where not work-related.

"But boss, my job description says I'm supposed to work with sexually explicit images. I thought you'd be totally cool with me visiting a few porn sites on my lunch break."

I've had some good experiences working with headhunters. Besides taking care of all the logistics and such, the good ones will actually negotiate you're salary for you, like your own personal Jerry McGuire. $$$

Recruiters get paid commissions from the clients - between 25% to 40% of your first year of compensation. They may act like they are on your side, or preach "win-win", but you should never forget whom they are working for ... themselves, not you.

Some employers are actually fee-sensitive. And, if given a choice, they rather deal directly with a good candidate than pay a 30% commission. In those cases, you have more negotiation room to discuss one-time sign-on bonuses and the like.

In the movie, Jerry McGuire, the role played by Tom Cruise was that of a sports agent.
