It drives me absolutely insane when people refuse to just close the damn things and there's a whole bunch of them standing there flailing away at the top of the stairs at a subway exit.

When the wind is that strong it's not like the umbrella makes a difference anyway.

Yeah if the wind gets so strong there comes a point where the umbrella is pretty much rendered useless. Guess the ladies are trying to maintain their hairdo's or something.
