I have a few images kicking around on a USB stick to use to illustrate stories on FG. Either a relevant news item hasn't yet popped up or, more commonly, I've just forgotten about them. Anyway, I'm getting bored looking at them. Since there's no-one in the pictures, they don't suit the Random Nihonjin thread so this thread has become their dumping ground.




"Tsumaranai" means dull or boring. Said quickly, with a slight sneer, it can sound like "Sumanai" making this a bad place to live.

Can also be used as "excuse ~" or "pardon ~" which works to coming off as something like "forgive us for this place" or "inexcusable place", as if the name of the station is apologizing for the station/area.

It's just a dumb pun on Osugi and Pico, two flamboyantly gay celebrities. I think it shows more imagination than generally exercised/allowed in minimum wage employees here.

Mulboyne, it's not just you. When I first saw this poster a week ago, my first thought was that somebody was going to photoshop it to show exactly the scene you imagined, and post it on FG. I would have done it myself if I had a little more time!
