TOKYO -- Police were investigating an apparent Internet-planned suicide Wednesday after finding the bodies of three Japanese in a car with taped windows, a charcoal stove, a computer and a memo detailing suicide plans.
If an online connection is proven, it would be the second Internet-planned group suicide in Japan since an unidentified 26-year-old man and two women, believed to have met through a Web site...

TWO men and a woman were found dead in a car in the mountains outside Tokyo at the weekend, in yet another suspected internet suicide pact among Japanese youths, police said.
The car, filled with carbon monoxide from charcoal burnt in a portable clay stove....
"This one looks similar to the previous cases involving the internet." Nine other people have died in three similar incidents since February 11. They are believed to have contacted each other through an internet site encouraging suicide.

32 died in Web suicide pacts in 6 months: police

The number of people killing themselves after making suicide pacts over the Internet totaled 32 in Japan between January and June this year, the National Police Agency (NPA) said Thursday.
The 32 people were involved in 11 cases, the NPA said, adding that the figures represent only those which have been confirmed by the agency.
The NPA also said that in July there were three more suicide-pact cases, bringing to 42 this year the total number of people involved, including unsuccessful suicide attempts.

Ok, my pet wackiness is numerology, and I find it wierd that almost every case has been 3 (except 2) and the total number of suicides averages back to 3 (42 dead/14 cases= 3 dead per case).
