Dr Jorge Chavarro, a research fellow in the department of nutrition at Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, USA, and his colleagues found that men who ate the most soy food had 41 million sperm per millilitre less than men who did not consume soy products. (The "normal" sperm concentration for men ranges between 80-120 million/ml).

The menthol story is quite old. Legend has it that after the end of the war when the Tobacco Monopoly was trying to develop a market for Japanese smokes, the only menthol which was available (and extremely popular) were American brands that were available on the black market. The TM allegedly started this as a controlled rumor to both scare people off menthol, but also to help control black marketing.

The J-types have done worse in attempts to close markets, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is the way limp dick menthol came into being.
