Apparently Domo Kun really likes Candy Corn

Apparently Domo Kun really likes Candy Corn

As a part of their efforts to promote their Halloween merchandise this year, US retailer Target has enlisted the help of NHK's Domo-Kun.

While his presence is through out the Halloween section, Target has also commissioned a Halloween themed Domo stop motion animated web episode. There is also a web video showing how they created the first video which is pretty interesting. In the store display, Domo is dressed in various costumes (Mummy, Frankenstein, Count Dracula) or in plain dress just gorging himself on candy...particularly candy corn. One of the more interesting displays is Domo dressed in a witch outfit, even though I was under the impression that Domo is male, although Domo looks rather agitated in the display. Along with the displays, there are quite a few Domo related items, including a Domo Pinata, Domo gummy chompers and a Halloween themed Domo gift card complete with various costumes for the gift card.

There are some Domo fans on Flickr who have picked up on this, including this rather large set
