Kyodo: American tenor Nuzzo nabbed for drug possession
John Ken Nuzzo, a Tokyo-born American tenor, has been arrested on suspicion of possessing amphetamines, police said Monday. The Metropolitan Police Department said Nuzzo, 42, was carrying about 0.7 gram of amphetamines on a street in Shinagawa Ward just after 6 p.m. on Thursday. Nuzzo, son of an Italian-American man and his Japanese wife, debuted as a tenor with the Vienna State Opera in 2000 and participated in public broadcaster NHK's year-end Kohaku (red and white) song contest in 2002 and 2004.
