Well I just had some bad bad news. My UK grandmother who I adore is not going to last until 2009. She is 96 and a fabulous woman - a total ratbag in the best way. But she has been in a nursing home for a number of years but has powered through until now. We were told today that she is really not well. But she has had a fabulous life and she will be missed. I hope they are taking good care of her in these last few hours.

Sorry to hear about your granny taking a turn for the worse. I know it's shat when people die but at 96 that bird has flown a grandiose and long life. We should all be so lucky. Even so I know your dad will be heart broken. It's hell losing a parent no matter the age. I wish you all the best.
