[/floatr]With Oshogatsu upon us, it might be wise to point out that Sanyei Corporation manufactures the Moffle, which is a mochi press that shapes those pounded rice pieces into a waffle-like shape suitable for a dazzling number of food combinations. In 5 to 6 minutes, a single block of mochi can be transformed into a snack or, the brochure suggests, two blocks can be turned into various sandwich wraps for everything from ham to cutlets.
