Fucking Amy Chavez

Postby kagemusha » Sun Jan 10, 2010 11:37 am

Usually I am a man of peace, live and let live and all that jazz but I can't stand it anymore (and god knows I've tried) What is the fucking story with Amy Chaves?
http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/fl20100109cz.html

What is the point of those cheesy moronic columns? Is it a conspiracy to convince the Japanese people that gaijins are a little slow in the head and there is nothing to be afraid of? Is it an excellent way to convey orders to some dormant Japanese cells waiting to take over the world?
How many dicks does she have to suck in order to persuade the editors to publish that crap?
What the fuck?

Wow. That's possibly the worst thing I've ever read. Now I hate you for exposing me to it, kagemusha.

Aaaaaaugh!!! I clicked and read!! My eyes ... my brain!!
WTF is this person smoking? Overdosed on Ajinomoto?
Not amusing. Not interesting. Just plain weird.

Now I'm going to have to read some Spike Milligan to restore my sense of normality.

P.S. I really misinterpreted the title of this thread.

Oh? Like 'driving Miss Daisy'? not by a fat chance - this is Greji's department.

I just skip Amy's sad attempts at rambling humor, but when it comes to humor, WTF is that crap comic Noodles still doing in there?

I get that it is supposed to be a Nikkei American's take on life in Japan (even though she hasn't lived here for several years it would seem), but I have yet to find one even remotely amusing. If something is topical or relevant and humorous, the lack of illustration skill can be overlooked, but her drawing skill and content are both lame, IMO.

Dahl's comics and editorial illustrations on the other hand are well-drawn, and usually good for a laugh.

She told me it didn't work out between the two of you because of the generation gap. She just can't relate to older men.

I skimmed through it. Lucky I didn't spend more than 2 minutes on the rubbish. Her attempts at humour just like like arrogant rants.
I broke a mirror this morning, which means I should be getting 7 years of bad luck - but my lawyer says he can get me 5.

Amy's suffering from acute Been in Japan too Long. It'll happen to you guys, too. I can already feel its brain-liquefying effects on me.

The driver was kinda hot... Well except for his accent of cotton ball carrying slave... Which was on par with James bond as Marko Ramius in Hunt for Red October... Not paid enough for this maybe...

Can't say I disagree with her on this. When I go to an onsen I want to enjoy the baths, drink a bunch of beer, then sleep in the next day before having breakfast and another bath, leaving sometime just before lunch. If I wanted to get up at 7 I'd stay in Osaka and go to work.

If you wanna have a sleep in and scrambled eggs on toast go to a fucking hotel. Part of the reason you go to a ryokan is for the breakfast (and dinner).

I highly doubt that is part of the reason overseas travelers visit hot springs.......

OMG - the food in a good ryokan is usually amazing and worth getting up for. The 7am starts are a bit much but most of the ones that I have stayed in have let us book the time the night before. Normally it is between 7-9am or something that is workable. Lets you get in another bath before checkout.

It is only really small ones that dictate to the customer the time.

Beer, soaking and fucking are pretty good too. ;)
