JAPANESE LION ESCAPES
Tama Zoo employees recover the "lion" which was found unconscious at the zoological garden in Tokyo after reportedly drinking all night at a nearby karaoke bar. A subsequent biopsy revealed that it was not in fact a lion but merely a suit containing an ex-zoo employee, who mysteriously vanished last March.
We sometimes lose worker, said a Tama Zoo employee, Mr Gochi, especially around big animals area, like crocodile one. So no one surprised when he vanish.
Authorities suspect that the employee is part of a gang that sells exotic animals to zoos around Japan for large sums of money but then substitutes fake animals for the ones in their brochures.
Tama Gochi added: We become suspicious when he insist on having car painted like zebra,

but he says this is normal in Africa, plus he popular with all visitors, so he was allowed to drive into town sometimes. We didn't know it wasn't real lion.
