So will Philip Morris continue to sell them here? Not that I care, I'm not a smoker, but just curious.

Japan Tobacco to Stop Selling Marlboros, Cut Jobs (Update3)
http://quote.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=10000101&sid=aDdd340YxAus&refer=japan

The decision to end the contract in April 2005 was mutual and ``gives us more flexibility to grow Marlboro in Japan,'' David Davies, vice president of corporate affairs for Philip Morris Europe, told Bloomberg News.

Marlboro accounts for almost two-fifths of Philip Morris's 24 percent market share in Japan. Philip Morris has its own marketing and distribution network in Japan, which handles brands including Lark and Parliament.

I have noticed they are the most popular American brand here. Odd.

My favorite a few years back was the Speak Lark ads that declared:

LARK: The number ONE brand in America.

I had never heard of Lark before. A Lark smoker asked me about it, and I had to tell him the truth....
