Dreamland actually didn't close all that long ago -- 5 years ago maybe? My wife used to go when she was a kid and we took our daughter there once too. It was definitely a bit hokey but small kids enjoyed it. It wasn't a huge surprise when it went belly up though, "busy" isn't a word that could be used to describe it the time I was there.

Thanks for sharing the pics, I had occasionally wondered what happened to the park after it closed.

[Edit: :lol: We had lunch in the DomDom that can be seen at the edge of picture 42!]

There will be more than a few 'ghost towns' in the future in rural japan..
