Natsukashi places you got there Cranky, but I couldn't get into any of them because I was an airedale. Only you squids were allowed in. But, they would let a few Doggies in the joints around North Pier because the Army had that transportation depot there for the sand crabs that handled shipping inland from the pier......

although i do appreciate the cards and the piece of history they represent, man those women are homely as fuck.

Chukagai? I think I see signs for Suuro-saikan and Sui-ko-en. Shanghai-saikan is pretty obvious.

There are places in Yokohama (and elsewhere) that still look just like that!

The yakitori allies just north of Shinjuku Stn...just as homely, are about a 1/3 as wide and have the smell of piss on the walls to go along with it....

Not that I don't hang out there everytime I'm here working.....

That area has a great atmosphere but unfortunately the yakitori-ya there pretty much suck.

Unfortunately since as of the last couple years I only get back to Japan about once every couple of months...it doesn't take much to get a rise....
