Android Phone with Japanese Dictionary?

I'm thinking about getting an Android-based smart phone to use with Verizon in the US and would like one that could run an app to replace my current Wordtank J-E dictionary. This app looks decent: http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/travel_and_local/aedict_eaf.html
I also want it to replace my GPS.

Has anyone gone this route already and do you have any advice for me?

While I have not used that dictionary, I have been using the online EDICT for many many years. So if that app is an offline version it should be decent.
I can say I have been using the OpenWnn for Japanese entry on the T-Mobile Mytouch 4G. (Suggest turning off the Hanabi and key preview options, just my personal preferance.)

The AEDICT-app is really good. You get the dictionary you know and love from the interwebs + you can draw kanji with your fingers and all. It is really sweet.

Thanks Hundefar, that's good to hear! It seems more sensible than spending hundreds on the latest dictionary in addition to a phone.

I've got that and google translate on my Android phone. Handset shouldn't really matter.
