Age and Wisdom do not walk hand in hand. That is true. However, to nit pick over error in grammar (grammer) gram crackers ....ahhhhh...well it is just a big waste of time NeoNecroNomiCron.

You see, when NeoNecroNomiCron wants to feel good about herself...she looks for spelling errors.

I guess that is what NeoNecroNomiCron needs to feel that life is okay.

I got into trouble last time I said this, but really, What the fuck are you on about?

NNNC is the nitpickee not the nitpicker in this instance. If he (where did the "she" "her"... come from?, still recovering from your "Dickie" tormentor?) takes an abusive stance then he's open to a bit of stick himself. He may have overreacted to this stick, but hey, if he's dyslexic then I can see why it'd be a sore point.

A big thanks to Ramchop. One of the few people that actualy looks at the bigger picture. But initaly it wasn't my intent to be abusive just to clarify.

It is true I do overreact, but I do so as socititey does not readily accept people with a broader perspective, differnet way of thinking, is not easily classified(dancing to the beat of a differnt drumber even.) Hence I have to be constantly on the defensive.
Shibuya Me wrote::D

I think it is a shame that NeoNecroNomiCron seem to love to fight with everyone on this site. The topic was age and wisdom. No one said they go together. It was just a topic line.

What I find funny about NeoNecroNomiCron, is that she writes up anything negative on this board just so she can have her voice. I have been viewing this site for a bit..and this NeoNecroNomiCron just wants to fight with everyone.

Maybe its just me, but fighting about the topic Age and Wisdom just tells me just a little bit more about her....

And, if you notice her threads....all fighting with anyone who will respond to her....

Unless I am wrong, this site is for conversation. Not for the right to be annoying to everyone.

If I am wrong, let me know.

What the hell are you on about Shibuya Me It is clear that you didn't read all the thread, thus the validity of your opinion is greatly diminished. From previous posts you should clearly know that I am male. Yet you refer to me as being female. If this is an attempt to belittle me it failed miserably. These are playground taunts that only serve to you are a weak minded individual with little or no redeaming charictoristics. I only annoy people that either cant comprehend other peoples views or post meaningless diatripe replys like yours.

On a number of posts you say that what I post tells you a little more about me. I doubt if you know anything about me or could make any valid judgment on my charictor in real life.

I dont fight with people that can make an informed or tought provoking comment. Maybe you feel i fight to much with you, perhaps its because you cant make an informed or tought provoking decision.

cstaylor wrote:What I find troubling about young people such as NeoNecroNomiCron and <name-deleted> is that they get angry when people point out their mistakes. We get the long string of excuses: "this is a stream of consciousness", "this is a chat board, not a place where I care what you think", "I am dyslexic, so I don't have to follow common rules of grammar and spelling". I would think a little bit of embarrassment would serve them better in the long run]

I agree. All those excuses are just crutches for laziness. NeoNecro: you like to talk about your IQ. If you were really smart, you would have been able to figure out how to make your posts more readable despite your dyslexia (i.e., by using a spellchecker). And you also would be smart enough to avoid antagonizing every member of this board.

Kamome It is obivious that you are just another sheeple. It sounds you have been living a fairly padded life. "crutches for laziness" People like you have no empathy, I pray that you dont have children that not fit into you view of socitey perfectly. You have no comprehension of time consuming it is to spell check with all this BBCode and how shitty spell checker really are. The do nothing to really check grammer and often there is no suggestion to many words. I was not bosting about my IQ i was making a point that Dyslexia is nither a disability nor reflects on you intelligence or wisdom... From your comments you seem to lack both.

CSTaylor Basicly you sound like a beligerant old fart. That is what you would expect a "young person such as... " isnt it. Well no, actualy I pity old people like you that have lived mundane lives, strive for the irelevant, belive propaganda, and constantly add new layers of padding to your bubble.

CS you solution to my problems embarrass me. Yes that is a good idea, is that what your redneck father used to do to you to stop you wetting the bed. Embarrassing people into submission is a discrasefull attitude. Despite what is said on this board in life I try to be tollerant of other peoples failings and would never go out of my way to embarrass somebody. Its just plain wrong.

At the onset Iwas trying to liven up the topic by posting an inciteful quote
NeoNecroNomiCron wrote:The topic of this Thread is Age and Wisdom everybody quantified their age but nobody quantified their wisdom. Does quantifing you wisdom create a paradox as nobody knows much about anything we just just plod along meaninglesly. Why am I the youngest in this tread but I try and see the bigger picture.

Joseph W. Meeker sums it up in a profound paragraph from his article "Wisdom and Wilderness":

Wisdom is a state of the human mind characterized by profound understanding and deep insight. It is often, but not necessarily, accompanied by extensive formal knowledge. Unschooled people can acquire wisdom, and wise people can be found among carpenters, fishermen, or housewives. Wherever it exists, wisdom shows itself as a perception of the relativity and relationships among things. It is an awareness of wholeness that does not lose sight of particularity or concreteness, or of the intricacies of interrelationships. It is where left and right brain come together in a union of logic and poetry and sensation, and where self-awareness is no longer at odds with awareness of the otherness of the world. Wisdom cannot be confined to a specialized field, nor is it an academic discipline]

I am sorry it was wasted on so many closed minded individuals.

I might me contentious but at least I keep the from active

Final thanks to Ramchop

FLame Away!!!!!! Maybe i should spend an hour spellchecking this shit, nah if you dont want to read it just dont bother just for your own sake just dont read the last few lines and comment you are deffinatly missing the bigger picture.

No no no! I didn't mean that I thought GG was ancient, I was refering to the TV shows like Dr Who and the Goodies. I thought of them and they just seem so old today. I just hadn't thought of them for many years and I remember how they were really basic compared to today's high budget programs. Unfortunate choice of words on my part there!

I loved those old shows.. I think watching them as a child has made me into the wise chick that I am today!! I remember moving from Singleton in the Hunter Valley to the metropolis of Canberra* when I was around 7 or 8 y.o. and we bought our first colour TV - the Goodies and Dr Who are much better on a colour 22 inch screen than a B&W 12 inch screen.

BUT the best show I used to watch after school was "Monkey" - my first exposure to Japan!!! I was about 9 or 10 and it was on every afternoon at 4pm - dubbed into English of course!!

I am 31 in December...and I am an 'O' blood type:lol: (I know no one asked) but I guess it seems more normal to tell in a Japan related forum.

Sorry, this is out of the topic, but just want to share this: There was once my Japanese colleague was correcting my mistakes, and then, he asked me about my blood type, I was so surprised. Another incident was in April, I saw this Shacho was having lunch with his newly recruited employees, and he was asking everyone's blood type (around 20 of them). 8O

What's the typical girly reaction to a show like that... is it still the stupidly violent imitation with siblings?

Perhaps you should ask a typical girl??

Personally I loved it!! Used to imitate the whistle thing he used to do to call his cloud!! I didn't think it was violent at all. But then I do have an older brother with whom I still *play* Katate with. But then he is my sempai and he hurts when he hits me!!

I am about the buy the boxed DVD set of the whole series. Just can't decide between the dubbed or the Japanese only (I grew up on the dubbed)

Are you sure that's wise? I haven't seen it since I was 7-8, I'm not sure I'd want to risk reality souring my happy childhood memories by showing me that it really was a crap show.

Another favourite was "Land of the Lost", now I'm certain that must have been crap.

I loved watching Monkey and his 'Monkey Magic'. I thought the sequence at the start explaining the monkey background with that weird boulder rolling along was so funny. One of the best things was the amazing sound effects for the fight scenes of metal clashing with metal. :D Thinking about these old shows I also recalled 'The Mysterious Cities of Gold', which also played around this time. I liked this show: http://www.whimsy.demon.co.uk/gold/pix.html

Neo-Have you ever considered that people 'choose' to be aggrieved victims? You can go out looking for offence or not. Did you know that victim status is a much coveted position in contemporary Western culture? Many people want to claim the position of being 'oppressed' by anothers, in the present or of ancestors being oppressed in the past.

I can sense by some of things you have said that you are selectively revealing certain things about yourself in order to achieve 'victim' status. 8O Why?
