Here is a real-time Fukushima radiation map. Notice that C & D (Fukushima and Miyagi) are not being reported or are censored:

THEY MANUALLY SHUT DOWN THE FVCKING COOLING SYSTEM!!! THAT is criminal negligence. If this really is the case then live public broadcast executions of Tepco executives are now in order! And as this just keeps on raging further and further out of control, I really think that the US military will have to take over Japan again, then call in the world's top experts and put a quick end to this once and for all. Also, IMHO, they really need to imprison Kan and all of his cronies for the rest of their pathetic lives!

/end of rant. Sorry I'm now just really freaking mad about all of this.

Slow down kid, as I said somwhere else, but clearly talking out of myass:

I think they suspected a leak because of low pressure reading and prefered keeping hot water than losing it all... (don't quote me on that).

I don't think it is as much of a big deal as people seems to believe.

Seconded.

I understand, but you statement is irrelevant. And you obviously are still in a state of stubborn denial. That is normal for people in a life and death crisis. This kind of public denial and government coverup happened at Chernobyl too. Take care.

I'm always like this. It's got nothing to do with the current situation. Anyway, if you ever want to escape that polluted shithole of a third-world country you live in and visit Japan, I'd love to meet you.

Thanks SJ. I appreciate it. You're right. Somewhat like the big cities of Japan, Korea and just about all cities in Asia, China is a god dang sh1th0le with a very stimulating overall end-of-the-world scenery and feeling to it. Hangzhou is "OK" compared to Shanghai, but you can actually taste the pollution on a daily basis.

I'm trying to find a way to get to Australia. Ever read that book "On The Beach"?

Bought it new when it came out. The rabbits are the real survivors, beyond the humans. Which only goes to show, if you breed like a rabbit you can survive anything. Been trying it every since to be ready for any unannounced nuclear blasts..

WTF? Some guy is now claiming that dumping all that radioactive water in the ocean wasn't Japan's idea, but rather a response to a "strong request" from Washington. That sounds awfully suspect, in another "the foreigner did it" type of way.

And since when do playwrights qualify to act as cabinet advisers?*

Too weird.

Are you crazy? There's nothing suspect about gaijin involvement in the Fukushima Fuck-up at all....it's totally unquestionable.

If GE had only made the reactor to our Japanese standards, it would never have leaked in the first place.. Even then, once the foreign-made reactor fucked up, if we had done things the Japanese way, we would have got it under control, but, no, all those godamned gaijin had to stick their beaks in and now who knows when it's all going to be under control again?

The idea that Japanese could possibly be responsible for this is inconceivable. We are far too attuned to nature because of our unique four seasons to allow for anything so tragic to occur under our watch.

So basically... it might explain a bit some of the so called "earthquake clouds" or make even harder to weed out the lunatics...

That's really interesting, and it sort of ties in with some other ideas about earthquake precursors.

Quite a few people seem to believe that there's a measurable change in the static charge above faults prior to an earthquake, with the assumption that it is caused by piezoelectric effects in the stressed rock at the fault. But since static charge is directly related to ionization, ionization of the atmosphere due to radon emission is also a possibility. Maybe it's a bit of both.

Yes, we know... but it's starting to be a bit of a strawman...

All that it says is "50 miles from fukushima you won't die from radiation sickness overnight" That don't make the situation anymore troublesome, that don't un-melt the fuel rod, that don't un-irradiate all the contaminated water released in the ocean.

Yes some other daily transitory situation expose to more radiation than being nearly 100 km from a plant gone tits up... great... except you don't grow food in an airplane, you don't live 24/7 on an airplane, you don't drink water contaminated locally and on and on...

There is hysteria on the side of the nukular phear... but there is also quite some hysteria going on for the "nuke are like totally safe" crowd. Both are annoying especially in their way of each other name-calling phear-monger versus oblivious-safe-monger. truth is inbetween and might start to get bored being gang raped by both extreme...

nuclear art stunt

Postby Ganma » Fri May 20, 2011 11:14 am

Tokyo-based artists confess nuclear art stunt
Image
TOKYO (AFP) – A Tokyo-based art collective has admitted doctoring a mural by the late master Taro Okamoto about the horrors of a nuclear explosion with an image of the crippled Fukushima plant, according to reports.
ChimPom, a group of six avant-garde artists, said they came up with the clandestine image which caused a stir when it was added on April 30 to "Myth of Tomorrow" on display at a busy Tokyo train station, the Tokyo Shimbun newspaper reported.
Police are investigating whether an offence has been committed, Japan's Jiji Press agency said.
The artists sparked controversy in 2008 when they depicted an airplane vapour trail forming Japanese characters meaning "atomic bomb in Hiroshima", the first city to be destroyed by a nuclear weapon when the United States dropped an atomic bomb on it on August 6, 1945.
