Had a bad day? No one around to comfort you? Then why don't you don the Sense-Roid jacket and give yourself a cuddle. A team from the University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo, has used haptic feedback technology to create a jacket, which, when you hug a dummy wearing a complimentary vest, gives the sensation that you are being hugged back. I think many of us figured out the ideal haptic communication partner was ourselves sometime around age 12, but we didn't need a robotic vest to enjoy it back in those days. A dirty magazine helped a bit, though.
