Congratulations Japan! What a fairytale win. And I hope their victory inspires some hope for a cuntry that needs (and deserves) a good dose of it.

Every member of this team is still ugly, though....

Not to mention that they will get to see themselves (along with all of us) win over and over again on J-TV 24 hours a day for the next fucking month.

Incidentally, all the US new reports are saying the same sort of thing. It's so nice that Japan could win and bring a spot of happiness to a country that has had so much recent sadness. Knowing the US Media and their lack of feeling, I read this as "Let's talk about something else and mis-direct the story, so nobody will notice about them serving up such a righteous asskicking to the US team out on the pitch!"

BTW you are quite right Hair, their ugly rating remains at extremely high levels and does not seem to have a chance of lowering until happy hour.

Apparently "Japs" and "Pearl Harbor" were the two top trending topics on Twitter in the US - and directly attributed to this soccer game (and their loss). :shake:

According to Internet chatter, the Japanese team is made up of "cute girls".
I think many of you are suffering from the Daikanyama Syndrom (just made that up): When you visit Japan your standard in women goes up because there's so much pussy to choose from. Most blokes in North America and Europe consider themselves lucky to get one pussy every other even or odd year.

Curious what service you use to check out trends. The strange thing is that when I started following US twitter trends at http://trendsmap.com/local/united+states, "Japs" was in the top 10, but all the tweets I found were along the lines of "Can't believe Japs and Pearl Harbor are trending right now." It's an interesting (ironic) phenomena where outrage and indignation fuel the actual problem.

dont tell me that all them fucks are getting into soccer anime... i bet if they did make one for the Nippon Fugbunnies, that they all would be super hot, doe eyed, and have a hero-like attitude.

When I reality, these girls are double bager material with train jumping mentalities.

Looking at wiki pages for the team, it seems about half of them have played in the American league.
I have a blog. Last update: August 18, 2013.

Never criticize anyone until you've walked several kilometres in their shoes.
Because

1. You're now several kilometres away; and

2. You've got their shoes.

Watching these women on TV, there is a certain grace to them. Sawa is starting to grow on me. Something about her.

I think Sawa's pretty cute, to be honest. Not glamorous, but not ugly by any reasonable stretch. At a bar I'd chat her up on my first beer.

Sameshima: Maybe after 4-5 beers.

Sakaguchi: last call

Kaihori (goalkeeper): "Dude, let's go pick up some chicks!"

That's my point. Most of the pics have been taken while she's on the field.
Granted her skin is weathered, but that's to be expected in a woman that spends so much time outdoors.

Players bitch about coaches off the record all the time. That shit wasn't meant for Twitter isn't a big deal at all. I think the coach is being passive aggressive by even acknowledging it. Someone else tweeted she said. That's the biggest non-story I have ever heard.

LOL, even my hockey games have for fans than that. One of these days I'll bring my own lemur cheering section. (and run as soon as the game is over...don't want to be around when they chat each other up)
