Hmmm, I wonder what the catch is???

This guy seems to have UN funding and he claims to have taken it to the Philippines and other 3rd World places where there is already an "infrastructure" of garbage pickers. Just think how great it would be if they could become mini oil barrons.

Back in Colorado I have a funky 1930s multi-fuel farm generator that runs on "White gas," kerosene, light diesel fuel, or vegetable oil, which I bet would burn this recycled plastic oil without a problem.

Good question. Not quite sure, but it seems fantastically suited to help in various situations throughout the world. It seems to work and the portability of the technology would appear to increase its viability even in remote, less populated areas without adequate garbage disposal.

Isn't it as retarded as using aluminum to make energy (don't remember the process, which was a ridiculous waste on its own and also less efficient than using magnesium)

Granted it might not be the most efficient with respect to the conversion of energy but what would you do with all that fuggin' crap otherwise...especially in impoverished areas where it cannot be disposed of properly and may constitute both an environmental & health hazard.

Depends on the actual cost...at a certain point, it becomes more expensive to reclaim this oil than to properly dispose of the trash and buy "new" oil.
