Japanese women for older gaijin?

I'm in my late 40s, and currently single. I was in Japan more than 20 years ago, and had a great time.

But what about Japan for us older guys? I was on a flying business visit to Japan recently and a gaijin guy I met said that he could introduce me to many J girls in their late 30s and early 40s who had never married and were looking for a gaijin guy, for love and/or marriage. He said things were better than ever for older gaijin looking for older Japanese women.

Is that the case? Given many Japanese women still look good even into their 40s, it does sound attractive. So what about us older guys in Japan?

On a more serious note, many older women have this fantasy idea of the perfect man that doesn't exist. They are waiting for that prince charming. If they lower their standards by just one notch, many of them would be able to marry again. Like I once said to one such hot single lady in her thirties looking for the absolute perfect bloke, if you find that kind of man, I would marry him too.
