Do you have more intel from japanese articles? Gomenasai nihongo wakarimasen. Was he living there? I wonder why the english news focus on the ear bleeding. May be the passer-by said something like "there's a dead guy in pieces and oh, he's bleeding from his ear".

So either the report is far from complete -it would be ok, readers don't need to know his brain was all over the pavement like egg yolk- or the police is clueless.

In order to take a bit of a crap on my proposed method for ID'ing corpse by checking the pictures and confirm Sa_Race theory...

Here is what a corpse look like after a fall from around 2-3 stories from an overpass in a shopping center (or university can't remember well).

Warning: Picture of dead people on this link. With some gray mater splattered.

You just need to click on the CENSORED picture... Sorry, I should have told you that. Especially since this trick is a pain in zee pooper to implement on this forum... some forumz have a special kind of link to display pictures only if you click on a "spoiler" button.

Just didun't want to post gory pictures... Remember... for us Yuropeanz, pictures of nekkid people are not troublesome... Pictures of splattered brains and guts are a moderately big no-no...

Is this typical of JT to expire an article?

The requested article has expired, and is no longer available.

Yes. Their system was written by teenagers who don't understand proper indexing and storage compression.

Compare that with the NY Times. The entire history of that newspaper is available online.

Possibly written by teenagers but I think the key is that it is an AP article. I think they can only run wire material for a certain amount of time.

Yes, the entire history of mistaken historical facts, wrong-headed political and world-view editorials and endorsements and glaringly bone-headed economic articles in The New York Times are preserved for no one to read or hold them accountable for. ;)

So specific to JapanToday only?

Here's the article cached.

Other online media still have it up verbatim.

Licensing terms. JT is probably too cheap to buy a license to host the articles longer term.

It seem a lot of Japanese newspapers' online articles are only up for a few weeks or so.

It's getting worse. Since the Asahi relaunched their online site, many of the Japanese news articles are now only available in full if you subscribe.

Holli Karrer
This is Matt's sister: It has taken me all day to write these words...After three days, the search team did not find my brother. There are no other areas to search until the deep snow melts. My Dad and brother-in-law will be coming home early next week. This is incredibly hard on our family. As my Mom said, "Gods ways are higher than our ways." Thank you all for your prayers.

The family shows great cultural sensitivity giving the Shinto Gods their do respect (the family's looney quotes are polytheistic without an apostrophe).

Leaving a bar drunk alone and walking through ice and snow to get home. Slip, fall, knock yourself out and freeze to death before anybody notices. Sad story for this guy.

This is why I drink at home. :passout:

"Prey on Japan" is much more fitting :D

...and before Taro chimes in, "Prey on, Japan" works as well.
