Asahi: Police investigating fraud suspect over death of boyfriends
Police investigating the suspected murder of a Tokyo man have turned their attention toward his former girlfriend--a fraud suspect whose other male acquaintances have died, including one under mysterious circumstances, police sources said. The woman, 34, was seen with Yoshiyuki Oide, a 41-year-old employee of a real estate management company, in a parking lot in Fujimi, Saitama Prefecture, on Aug. 5, the sources said. The next morning, Oide's body was found in the back seat of a locked rental car in the parking lot. Burned charcoal briquettes were on the front seat, and there were no keys inside, the sources said. He died from carbon monoxide poisoning, but an autopsy showed that he had also consumed sleeping pills, they said..."He probably committed suicide because he was devastated by the breakup," the sources quoted the woman as saying...Police also found that Oide had deposited about 5 million yen into the woman's bank account in preparation for their marriage, they said. The woman was arrested in September on suspicion of swindling 3.3 million yen from men in Nagano and Shizuoka prefectures. She was rearrested Oct. 21 on suspicion of separate attempted frauds...Police are also investigating her possible involvement in the death of Kenzo Ando, 80, in a fire at his house in Noda, Chiba Prefecture, on May 15. Ando was invalid, and the woman was working as his caretaker. Burned charcoal briquettes were found in Ando's house, while traces of sleeping pills were discovered in his body. Police have confirmed the woman had withdrawn cash from Ando's bank account. In addition, police are looking for a connection between the woman and two other men who died in Tokyo and Chiba Prefecture. She is believed to met them on the Internet...more...

At least she had the decency to kills these guys right up front instead of actually marrying them and doing it slowly over decades.

Female teacher arrested over Japanese 'serial killings'
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/japan/6454817/Female-teacher-arrested-over-Japanese-serial-killings.html

The woman, who has not been officially named, is accused of befriending her victims before persuading them to give her large amounts of money and then killing them.

Police believe a serial killer is responsible for the deaths of as many as six men, all disguised as suicides or accidents.

Japan's Mainichi newspaper reported that police became suspicious when an apparently happy 41-year-old office worker was found dead in his car from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Present in the car was a charcoal burner – a common means of suicide in Japan. However, the man had not left a suicide note and millions of yen had been transferred to his fiancee's account days before his death.

Police suspicions were confirmed when the autopsy revealed that he had sleeping drugs in his system when he died. They also found a number of charcoal burners in his fiancee's flat.

The 34-year-old woman had previously been arrested for defrauding two men she met on lonely hearts websites. It is alleged that she told the men she needed 3.2m yen (£21,500) for college fees and promised to marry them after she graduated.

An 80-year-old friend of hers died in a fire which destroyed his home. The suspect was seen withdrawing money with his card and again sleeping pills were found in the victim's bloodstream.

Mainichi said that police were investigating the deaths of four other friends of the woman.

6 suspicious deaths in connection to one woman, it would make an interesting movie wouldn't it?

Reports indicate that police now are investigating her involvement in six deaths. It seems peculiar that she hasn't been named so far.

Ok, here's my rundown on the konkatsu killer situation.

The Telegraph doesn't realize that Japan has two insane women running around killing men left and right. The other one is a hostess in Tottori. This story completely mixed up the two cases thinking there's only one.

I wouldn't call either of them insane. Cunning perhaps. But why does this story conjure up images of 'Eatting Raoul'.

That is what happens when these lazy gaijin reporters like Julian Ryall does not go out of his office to do the actual reporting but spends time plagiarizing by cutting and pasting other news articles together. This is why I refuse to read similar rip-off publications like Japantod ay or Japantimes.

Even my Japanese friends were initially confused about whether the Tottori reports were about the same killer. However, it soon became clear there were two different women so it's pretty poor that a journalist hasn't been able to figure that out his own story.

Captain Japan has just pointed out that the Guardian report also confuses the two cases by suggesting Kijima worked as a hostess in Tottori.

In Spanish, too: Japonesa é acusada de matar 6 homens que conheceu pela internet

Segundo relatos da imprensa japonesa, Kijima, de 35 anos, tinha um blog sobre culinária e trabalhava em um bar na cidade de Tottori.

The Guardian just got around to making a correction:

This article was amended on 27 November 2009. The original gave the suspect's age as 35, and said she worked at a bar in Tottori and had dated a journalist and a policeman who both died. These details apply to another woman accused of a similar crimes, and have been corrected or deleted

Woman held over death of 1 of 3 men believed killed through foul play
Kyodo / AP- TOTTORI, Japan, Jan. 28, 2010 --
Police served a fresh arrest warrant on a woman Thursday on suspicion of killing one of three men believed to have died from foul play last year in Tottori Prefecture, the police said.
The Tottori prefectural police set up an investigative task force Thursday on the cases involving Miyuki Ueta, 36, a former snack bar employee in the city of Tottori.
Ueta is charged with robbery-murder as she is suspected of killing Hideki Maruyama, 57, an electric appliance dealer, who was found drowned in a river on Oct. 7, 2009, while evading about 1.23 million yen in payment to the victim for electric appliances she had bought....more...

I smell blood in this case...but it's not from the victim, it's from the Kane girls synching their crimson tidal patterns to the alpha female here. Future bloodsucking leaches in training? Should gas em all while they're in the same room....
