A "Members only" (Inner CIrcle) forum is needed

I just saw this important point made by chokonen888 is the fact there is no "Members only" (Inner CIrcle) forum on the new FG (which is critical if we want exclude the google bot and bad mouth CJ and other fools).

Sooo, is our inner circle forum on FG.com going to make it's appearance soon?

Come to think of it, there's no Mod's forum either, which used to have almost as many posts as the regular forums.

The forums exist, but are alas devoid of content . I think I set the permissions rather too restrictively (after the import they were available to the whole world), I'll take a look later.

I was never given the FG archive. I scraped the FG forum in April, but somehow I lost that scraped copy.

I think UG deleted mods forum posts, blackhole, BF, Politcal Erections, PM's etc before the shut down and only kept the text from the main forums. This is really the value in the content - the links, the commentary on issues and the like. Much of the stuff in BF, and blackhole were just flame wars and DPs so no need to hang onto them. Everything else was kinda irrelevent or outdated so it is good to clear it all out and keep what is important and start everything again with the core value intact.

The search was kinda broken on the last FG as lots of old stuff was not searchable but I think it is working now with this new PHPBB3.

The Premium sections can be started up again - I see the mods is back up again.

Yup, they were all empty.

It should be working for all posts, might need a bit of tweaking at some point to stop it rejecting some "common" words but that's for later.

Oh - one thing you should do is a quick find and replace for the [yt] tags to replace them to [youtube] so that at least the embedded vids will crank up again.

Nah - it was deliberate before the shut down to only keep what was really valuable - ie the links and commentary on news.

Hmm, that works, but only for new posts or if the old post with a [ yt ] tag is edited. Maybe there is a way of forcing the forum to reparse old posts...

Well it's reparsing... "Step 123 completed. Moving on to step 124 in a moment..." ... doesn't say how many steps there are mind...

Hmm, according to the source code, it will process 150 posts per step, so will need around 1600 steps. However it keeps failing before getting that far. Not sure if this will work, if not I'll have to write a script which does the same thing.

I also saw a [ythq] tag, presumably for higher quality YT videos, will add this too...
